Honeybunches has been doing better than expected with the med changes. He is on the 60 mg 2x day of Geodon and have been lowering the Abilify. Right now he's on 2 mg in the morning and 4 mg at night. Tonight he goes down to 2 mg 2x day. Then on Thursday he goes down to 2 mg just at bedtime. Sunday we stop it. At school last week they complained he was a bit sleepy. He took naps for about 1 1/2 hours each morning about 10:30. His sleep schedule has been off though. One morning last week he was up from 3-5 am, then went back to sleep until 7. Another day he was up at 4:30 for the day. This weekend he slept better, so hopefully he'll make it through his school day without napping. Thankfully the 2nd prior authorization that his pdoc filled out for the Geodon went through. I'm relieved because that's one less thing to worry about. Last Thursday he had his 1st appointment with the new counselor. I am optimistic that will go well. It seems to be a good connection. On Friday his pdoc emailed ME to see how he is doing. All in all, it has been a good week.
