APPLE BROWNIES:
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 Cup Magerine, melted
- 1 Cup Sugar (Either Sugar-in-the-Raw or white sugar works fine)
- 1 small tub of Applesauce
- 3 Medium Apples
- 1 cup Flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon plus extra to taste
- Dash of Nutmeg
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Grease baking pan
- In a large bowl, beat together the melted magerine, sugar, and applesauce until fluffy. Fold in the apples.
- In another bowl, sift together the flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Stir the flour mixture into the wet mixture until just blended.
- Spread the batter evenly into the baking pan.
- Bake for 35 minutes until the fork or toothpick comes out clean when inserted in center.
